Path of the minerworkers PDF >>>
(29
km) Slopes covered by rich verdant woodland, tranquil valleys through
which meander numerous streams, and the angular mounds formed by mining
excavation characterise this region known as the Land of the Red Earth.
This Miners' Path takes you past practically every place of interest or
importance in the region, crossing the nature reserves which now extend
over the former open-cast mines. It crosses a region which was once the
most important industrial area in Luxembourg, and offers the walker
some astonishing views over former mining developments and historic
railway installations. It was here that the heart of a powerful steel
industry once beat. But the noise of the factories has now gone, and
Mother Nature has retaken what is rightfully hers.
