Population : 870 inhabitants Altitude : 547 meters Munshausen, Marnach, Roder, Drauffelt and Siebenaler.
Close to Clervaux, Munshausen is an extremely old village which was mentioned for the first time in 839. The origins of the parish church, classified as an historic monument, date back to the 12th century. Siebenaler is a charming little village situated in the narrow valley of the river Pintsch. Roder is located on the slopes of the Our Valley and is a starting point for a walk through the "Kasselslay". Drauffelt, with its railway halt, is ideal for walkers taking the train. Nature Park Our
The Nature Park of ‘Our’, officially created in 2005, is located in the
North-East of Luxembourg and has a common border with Germany and
Belgium.
11 districts with 14,000 inhabitants and a total area of 305 km create a platform for the sustainable development of the region. Other objectives relate to economic development in harmony with the natural wealth of the region and the quality of life of its inhabitants. In this rural area, agriculture has always played an important role. Several initiatives aimed at improving income and agricultural diversification been developed. |
