Etymologically, the '"Emaischen" recalls the walk of the disciples to Emmaus, the Palestinian town near Jerusalem, where Christ appeared to two of them before his resurrection. This pottery festival now also offers demonstrations by the amateur potters of the village, a great choice of pottery stands offering whistles and flutes in ceramic called "Peckvillercher", "Léinefässercher", "Spriddelcher" or "Freieschtasen". The Emaischen also offers numerous sweet stands (nougat, almonds and grilled hazelnuts) as well as varied animations inside tents. |
