  Walking & Cycling

The Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is a real paradise for ramblers, cyclists and mountain biking enthusiasts. With 5,000 km of footpaths, it has one of the densest networks of waymarked trails in Europe. A total of 201 circular routes (varying in length between four and 16 km), 25 national and several cross-border hiking trails pass through the Grand Duchy. The European long-distance trails E2 and E3 trails also cross through Luxembourg, following the national network of hiking trails. In addition, there are trails linking stations, youth hostels or specially equipped «hiking huts», as well as hikers’ highlights, such as the recently established “Mullerthal Trail”. This flyer provides a number of walking and cycling tips that are well worth recommending.

 Adventure Island

Fun, action and adrenalin at the Mullerthal. The ropes course, placed on an island at the Echternach lake, is about 10 m high and allows adventure freaks and also to groups and families to have an air view of the ground. We offer you action elements like the 70 m flying fox which crosses the isle of pirates and the giant swing which accelerates you up to 70 km/h. Come and try to find out how brave you are. If you need to have a real team experience with your group, we are fully at your disposal for that.

Beside the individual experiences, we put at your disposal this complete range of exercises for groups. These exercises are based on the aim of team spirit and communication which are key elements for a successful group experience.

Your group will be accompanied and supported by our trainer staff. It is important for us that every participant feels at ease, that’s why we have important security rules. The high ropes course can be combined with our further adventure activities such as mountain bike and indoor climbing.

Horseriding

It is rare to be able to cross an entire country on horseback. At 2,587 km2, the surface area of the Grand Duchy makes this easily possible. Numerous stopovers for both riders and their horses provide opportunities to meet local people, cross the deep forests that cover one third of the national territory and experience the different landscapes of the Ardennes, the Moselle, the Mullerthal – Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland, the Terres Rouges and the Bon Pays. The region around Haute-Sûre Lake has carved out a special place for itself among preferred destinations for horse riders in Luxembourg.

Water Sports

A country of rivers and small lakes, a country of the Moselle too, water has always been one of the Grand Duchy’s main resources. In the distant past, mills and the spinning industry used the hydraulic power for the good of the economy.  Today, rivers and lakes offer opportunities for all kinds of aquatic sports.
